Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, hesketh.com was founded in 1995. Fueled by the expanding Internet, the consultancy soon expanded its scope and staff, resulting in a company that would help to define the industry.
With a thirst for building useful and usable Web sites and applications that could free businesses from the constraints of geography, founders Heather Hesketh and Steven Champeon quickly emerged as industry leaders. While media outlets such as The New York Times, Salon.com, and Wired were recognizing them as thought leaders, hesketh.com was busy applying those ideas for the benefit of a prestigious list of commercial and non-profit clients that includes Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), Duke University, Geomagic, North Carolina Biotechnology Center, and Oxford University Press.
In recent years, the company has developed practices and services that are specifically attuned to challenges faced by non-profits, higher education, member-based associations, and social entrepreneurs.
